Arsenal fans were forced to go through a rollercoaster of emotions yesterday against West Ham United.
The Gunners went 3-0 down after 32 minutes and it looked like one of those days. Things could have easily gone horribly wrong, but the players stepped up and managed to secure what looked like a very unlikely point.
Alexandre Lacazette was involved in two of our three goals. His shot in the first-half deflected off Tomas Soucek and ended up in the back of the net, while his brilliant header eight minutes before time brought us back on level terms.

The Frenchman could’ve scored another goal just after the break as well, but his dink was cleared off the line by Issa Diop.
All in all, it was a spectacular performance by Lacazette yesterday. He held up the ball very well, his link-up play was brilliant and his movement to allow the players around him to find some space was fantastic as well.
Arsenal fans were absolutely delighted with Laca’s display yesterday. Smith, however, went one step above and claimed that it was the Frenchman’s best game for us since he joined us back in the summer of 2017.
Arsenal Insider’s view:
Saying it was Laca’s best-ever game in an Arsenal shirt is debatable, but his display yesterday against West Ham is certainly up there.
The Frenchman barely put a foot wrong in the entire game, and his performance would have sent a strong message to Mikel Arteta, who had preferred Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to the former Lyon man up front.
It will be interesting to see what the Arsenal boss decides after the international break. Laca has clearly done enough to keep his place, but Arteta works in mysterious ways, and he might go back to Auba up top against a Liverpool side who play a high line.
