Arsenal will hope to beat Manchester City to the Premier League title this season, and it could be another close race.
Mikel Arteta’s side took the Champions all the way to the final day last season, but finished two points short as Pep Guardiola won his fourth consecutive Premier League title.
Man City have been the dominant force in the country, but Arsenal have been their main challengers in the past two seasons, and have been getting closer and closer to them.
The two sides met last week, and Arsenal led most of the game with 10 men, but John Stones netted a last-gasp equaliser, and Arteta and his team have been unfairly criticised for their approach to the game.
There is a long way to go in the season, and both teams are still undefeated, but an Opta supercomputer has now predicted that one side will win the title comfortably.

Opta predicts Man City to beat Arsenal to Premier League title
Sky Sports have now revealed a predicted Premier League table created by stat company Opta, and they have anticipated a comfortable Man City victory in the title race.
At the end of the season, it is predicted that Man City will finish on 91 points, an astonishing 10 ahead of the 81 they expect Arsenal to finish on.
This would see City win their fifth consecutive title, with Arsenal in second for the third time in a row, and four points above Liverpool.
This is a surprising prediction, with City just two points above Arsenal, and this would also require Arteta’s side to end the upward trend they have embarked on.
Arsenal’s points tallies under Mikel Arteta
Arsenal have gained more and more points in each season under Arteta, and narrowed the gap with Man City in each of the last four campaigns.
Arteta joined midway in 2019-20, and finished on 56 points, with Man City on 81. Arsenal then amassed 61 points, with Man City on 86.
Arsenal’s improvement in 2021 saw them finish the following campaign in fifth, on 69 points, before they became title contenders.
2022-23 saw Arsenal end on 84 points, five points behind Man City on 89, before Arsenal reached that total themselves last season, with City on 91.
It therefore seems unlikely that Arsenal will drop down to 81 points this season, with the gap widening between City and the Gunners, and they will aim to prove this supercomputer wrong.
