Supercomputer predicts where Arsenal and Tottenham will finish this season

A supercomputer has predicted where Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur will finish in the Premier League table this season based on their performances in the first six games of the campaign.

The Gunners have won five and lost one of our first six games. We’ve been brilliant so far, but the disappointing result at Old Trafford has kept us in touching distance of the chasing pack.

Tottenham are just a point and two places behind us. They are one of just two teams yet to lose a game this season, and although their performances haven’t really been great, they’re getting the results.

With some help from data analysts at FiveThirtyEight, The Yorkshire Post have revealed what the supercomputer-predicted Premier League table will look like at the end of this campaign.

Even though Manchester City and Liverpool haven’t gotten off to an incredible start like they always do, it has been predicted that the top two spots will remain the same as last season.

Pep Guardiola’s side will apparently end the season as champions with 86 points, while Liverpool are predicted to finish second with 76 points.

Tottenham and Arsenal have been predicted to come third and fourth respectively, with the two fierce North London rivals separated by just one point.

It has been claimed that Spurs will finish with 69 points, while we’ll end up with 68.

TBR View:

Getting back into the Champions League is our aim this season and fourth place will get us there. However, it would be annoying to see Spurs finish a point above us again.

Arteta’s Arsenal look really good. We were fantastic in our first five games of the campaign, and although we came out of the game against Old Trafford with nothing, we were the better side.

A lot of the Premier League is still left to be played, and there will be plenty of ups and downs. We have the World Cup to deal with as well in November and December, and nobody knows what kind of impact that will have on the remainder of the season.

If Arsenal finish fourth, we can’t really complain too much, but it’s been a while since we observed St Totteringham’s Day, and we’d love for it to happen at the end of this campaign.
