Chris Sutton believes Arsenal will have some hangover from the Champions League in midweek as they go up against Everton this weekend.

The Toffees will try and be the latest side to frustrate Mikel Arteta’s men as the title gets ever closer to being within touching distance.

Arsenal drew 1-1 with Bayer Leverkusen in midweek but despite that, Chris Sutton is backing Arsenal’s depth to prevail.

Chris Sutton’s prediction for Arsenal v Everton

Most football fans will expect Arsenal to win every game now and really capitalise on the lead they’ve built.

Indeed, for the Everton game, Sutton has told the BBC that Arsenal will simply have too much as he predicted a 2-0 win.

“Arsenal got away with a poor performance against Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday thanks to Kai Havertz’s late penalty against his former club. There’s a chance that fatigue kicks in for them here but it shouldn’t do, because they have got such great depth in their squad,” Sutton said.

“It was quite a tight affair when these two sides met in December, but Arsenal nicked the points at the Hill Dickinson Stadium and I am expecting the same to happen this time too.

“Everton will make it difficult for them, and try to hang on in the game. They could easily score too, but I am going for Arsenal to find a way to win again, and get the job done.”

As always, Sutton goes up against a celebrity in making his predictions for the games.

This week, there’ll be interest from the younger Arsenal fans as popular YouTuber ‘Angry Ginge’ gets involved. However, in a shock prediction, the Man United fan believes Everton can get something.

“This is at The Emirates so you probably have to favour Arsenal, but again they have not been too convincing of late. I can feel a draw, so I will go with that even though Arsenal will probably nick it. 1-1.”
