After a blockbuster Champions League clash, Arsenal return to the Premier League to face one of English football’s greatest ever contests.
Arsenal and Manchester United’s rivalry is something that will forever stand the test of time.
Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger paved the way for the two clubs to battle it out year-after-year in the Premier League, but since then, their successors have struggled.
There is, however, a special feeling ahead of matchday 23, as two former players of the clubs will be on the touchline, with Mikel Arteta set to battle Michael Carrick for three points.

Thierry Henry laughs at what he’s hearing about Man United
Carrick beat Arteta the last time he was at Man United, which happened during a three-game run in 2021 as temporary manager after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s dismissal.
This time around, the dynamic is different, as Arsenal are favourites to win the Premier League, sitting seven points clear at the summit.
In fairness, United aren’t doing too badly themselves and were recently fuelled by their Manchester derby win over Manchester City, but Thierry Henry isn’t buying into it.
On CBS Sports, presenter Kate Scott previewed the upcoming clash, showing her support for the Red Devils.
“Don’t forget, Man U are back,” Scott said.
Immediately, the Arsenal legend responded, “What?”
“Oh, you know, it was a good game against Manchester City,” Scott replied, and Henry couldn’t control his laughter.
Henry, along with Jamie Carragher, laughed out loud at Scott stating that United are back, in disbelief at their colleague’s comment.
When did Man United last beat Arsenal at the Emirates?
United might’ve looked very good against Man City, and might’ve had an uninterrupted week to prepare, but when it comes to visits to N5, the Red Devils tend to struggle.
What’s the best Arsenal win you’ve seen against United at the Emirates?
Since the Emirates opened, United have won only four times in the Premier League away to Arsenal, their last win coming nine years ago.
Since then, it’s been advantage Arsenal, who have won six out of seven of the last Premier League meetings against their rivals at the Emirates.
