Arsenal legend Thierry Henry scored a lot of goals in his career, in which he became arguably the best player in Premier League history.
The attacker scored 228 goals and provided 98 assists in 377 games for the club, with Henry’s first Arsenal goal coming against Southampton in 1999, and his final strike a last-minute winner away at Sunderland during a loan spell in 2012.
Henry scored a lot of important goals for Arsenal, including an iconic winner away at Real Madrid in the Champions League, as well as several North London Derby goals which live long in the memory.
Whilst it is tough to pick out his best goal, given the sheer quality of a lot of his strikes, Henry has now revealed which goal is his favourite, and it is one which oozes class whilst also carrying a lot of historical significance.

Thierry Henry names goal against Liverpool as his favourite for Arsenal
In April of 2004, Arsenal were still unbeaten in the Premier League as they closed in on the title, but suffered a brutal week as they were eliminated from the Champions League and FA Cup.
They faced Liverpool at Highbury, but found themselves 2-1 down at half-time, with strikes from Sami Hyypia and Michael Owen either side of a Henry goal.
Arsenal went on to win 4-2, with Robert Pires scoring, and Henry completing his hattrick with an incredible solo goal which saw him dribble past several players from the halfway line.
Speaking to Premier League Productions, Henry revealed that this goal against Liverpool was his favourite, both in terms of quality and significance for Arsenal as a club.
“We were 2-1 down at half time, and we were like ‘are we gonna blow it?’ Henry stated.
“Then I made it 3-2, and that goal is special because the stadium wasn’t breathing, nobody was. When Gilberto gave me the ball, there was only one thing in my mind: go to goal.
“With Didi Hamaan, and obviously Carra after [Jamie Carragher], I had to make them believe I would curve it, but I dummied them, I went inside.
“There was an explosion, of being ahead, and we went on to win the game, and that feeling was special.”
Why Thierry Henry’s goal against Liverpool was significant in Arsenal’s history
Arsene Wenger’s side finished the season undefeated, immortalising themselves as the Invincibles, and this would not have happened if Henry had not stepped up to rescue Arsenal from adversity against Liverpool.
“It’s an easy one, Liverpool,” Henry added when asked which was his favourite goal.
“Because of what it meant on the day. If you ask me if it’s a personal, personal, personal one [the answer might be different], but you can’t put the team before you, and what it meant to the team at the time, and what it did represent after – Liverpool.”
The goal put Arsenal 3-2 up before Henry completed his hattrick to seal the win, and the goal was one of the most iconic in the Invincibles season as it helped secure Arsenal and Wenger’s greatest triumph.
