Arsenal legend Thierry Henry raved about Bukayo Saka after watching his performance against PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League last night.

The Gunners were simply sensational. It had been over six years since we last played in the competition, but our performance last night made it seem like we were never away.

Saka had a fantastic game.

Thierry Henry says Bukayo Saka is ‘the man’ for Arsenal

There has been a lot of talk on social media about Arsenal star Bukayo Saka not being a top player because he hadn’t done it in the Champions League.

That’s a load of rubbish, isn’t it?

Saka, however, decided to shut those claims down himself. The 22-year-old made his Champions League debut last night, and it took him less than eight minutes to score his first-ever goal in the competition.

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry, who was analysing the game for CBS Sports, was totally impressed by the Gunners number seven, who also picked up an assist a little over 10 minutes after his goal.

The Frenchman said, as quoted by TBR Football: “We talked about Bukayo Saka at the beginning.

“We can see Odegaard having a strike. I think the goalkeeper should have pushed that into the corner. But Bukayo Saka is there, the man, scoring even goals like a striker now. Just following the shot.”

The Insider’s View:

Bukayo Saka is improving every time he’s on the pitch for Arsenal, isn’t he?

The Englishman is already one of the best players in the world, but the fact that he is still only 22 years old means there is still so much more to come from him.

Saka now has six direct goal contributions this season in six appearances. That’s not bad at all for someone who hasn’t started the campaign on fire, but he’s slowly getting back to his best now.

Arsenal take on that small club in North London next, and if Saka has a good game, we should be able to blow them away in the derby on Sunday.
