Three Arsenal stars were involved as England beat Wales in a friendly at Wembley.
Thomas Tuchel had Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice in his starting line-up, with the latter named as the captain for just the second time in his international career.
Myles Lewis-Skelly came on as a substitute in the second half, while Eberechi Eze was left on the bench in the Three Lions’ 3-0 win.
Tuchel was delighted with his side’s display, but it looks like he is really missing one Arsenal player.
Thomas Tuchel says Arsenal star Noni Madueke’s injury made him ‘very, very sad’
Noni Madueke has been in the news a lot over the last few months.
The Englishman came under a lot of criticism through no fault of his own when Arsenal decided to sign him from Chelsea in the summer.
However, since making his Gunners debut and filling in for Saka, Madueke has earned a ton of praise for his performances.
After England’s win over Wales on Thursday, Tuchel hailed Madueke and claimed that he was upset after hearing that the Arsenal winger had suffered an injury.
He said, as per The Metro: “Noni is unfortunately injured. Noni was excellent in the last camp; he was electric.
“He then continued to play for his club while Bukayo was out for Arsenal in the same manner.
“We were very, very sad that he’s now injured, but Saka stepped up (with his goal against Wales). He had to step up also.”

Noni Madueke will make Bukayo Saka an even better player
Saka has been one of Arsenal and England’s best players over the years.
The England international has consistently delivered for club and country, and he has done that without anyone really pushing him in his position.
Madueke is now breathing down Saka’s neck at Arsenal as well as England, and he has shown just how capable he is on the right wing.
That is definitely good news, and we are convinced that Saka will reach a whole new level because of the competition.
