Arsenal sit four points clear of Man City in the race for the Premier League title but pressure is continuing to build.
The defeat to Manchester United this past weekend seems to have hit hard and it’s led to many questioning whether the Gunners can actually do it.
We’ve seen in the last few seasons how close Arsenal have got before throwing things away and there’s now a worry we might be seeing the same again.
You can send Mikel Arteta one message after Man Utd defeat, what is it?
One man who knows about getting over the line is Tim Sherwood, who got the job done as part of Blackburn’s squad in 1995.
And speaking on Sky Sports, Sherwood has given his take on the current feeling at The Emirates.
Tim Sherwood says why Arsenal need to win the title
Winning the Premier League title is hard work and it means sometimes, having to grind things out and get results when it looks unlikely.
The same can be said for finally getting over the line for the title win, and according to Tim Sherwood, it’s something everyone at the club will be thinking about.
“We did it at Blackburn. We finished fourth, didn’t really believe. The following season, we finished runner-up then when you’re in the running, the season we won it, of course you’re nervous, it’s going to be. We thought we would get over the line but these boys will be nervous,” Sherwood said.

“They will be petrified that they’ve got this opportunity. They’ve addressed the squad issues and got the strength in depth. They’ve looked solid defensively before yesterday. They score goals, alright there’s not one player scoring loads but they share them among the group. They look unbelievable on set-pieces.
“They’re flying high in all competitions. They just need to get over the line but it’s almost like the biggest thing to do. And when they’re getting booed by their own home fans, even their own fans are questioning now so that’s going to be the biggest test to come.”
Arsenal’s game with Leeds is huge
Jamie Carragher has suggested Arsenal’s clash with Leeds this coming weekend is now massive and he has a great point.
Arsenal have got to bounce back and show the Gunners fans that they still have the minerals to take it all the way and win.
Should Mikel Arteta’s side drop any more points, then it shows a weakness and City will be there waiting for that mistake to happen.
Do Arsenal lack mental strength and if so, how does Mikel Arteta fix it?
A few weeks ago, seeing off Leeds might have felt like being a routine weekend and a game which Arsenal easily won three points from.
Now, though, there’s added pressure and if Leeds do cause an upset of any sorts, then Arsenal will feel a pressure they’ve not felt for some time.
