Forgotten Arsenal man Mohamed Elneny may now be crucial for Mikel Arteta in the coming weeks after an injury to Declan Rice.
That’s off the back of a report in the Evening Standard which reveals that Elneny is likely to play some part of the game against Brentford on Wednesday.

The EFL cup will be a perfect opportunity for Elneny to get some minutes ahead of an important period.
Whilst Elneny may have been envisioning a quiet return to the first-team, he may now be needed on the pitch.
Declan Rice seems like he’ll be missing until the Manchester City game at least.
And although Thomas Partey is said to be progressing well on a return, it seems he may have a similar time frame.
Therefore, in the interim period that only leaves Jorginho and £5m Elneny.
The former made a big mistake against Tottenham Hotspur yesterday, and whilst he should have no trouble bouncing back, Elneny may be needed too.
Mikel Arteta may now need to turn to forgotten Arsenal man Elneny
There are credible doubts over Jorginho’s physicality when it comes to an extended run in the team.
Therefore, Elneny may be required to help see out games against Brentford, Bournemouth and Lens, all before Arsenal host Manchester City.

Elneny will no doubt be rusty, he’s missed an awful lot of football in recent years, but he was kept around for a reason.
The Egyptian has the experience and quality to help Arsenal in these kind of games.
Elneny has often been called ‘underrated’ during his time at Arsenal, and it’s time he now proved his worth to Arteta again.
It’s unlikely that we’ll see Elneny start games so soon after a return, but he could play a crucial fire-fighting role.
A similar one to Jorginho over the season thus far.
