World football is being dominated by the news that Arsenal are interested in signing Vinicius Jr this summer.

The Premier League champions haven’t thrown their might around like they should after winning the title, but they could now pull off the biggest signing in the league’s history.

Arsenal’s interest in Vinicius has been confirmed by David Ornstein, and a deal has been approved at all levels within the club.

That is beyond exciting for the fans, as all they are dreaming of is Vinicius in an Arsenal shirt. Those with good memory will remember that he already has one.

Vinicius Jr asked for Bukayo Saka’s Arsenal shirt in 2025

Bukayo Saka is Arsenal’s biggest player.

The England international has been around the longest, is paid the most, and is like a son to most fans because of the way he came out of the academy and became a star in the first team.

Saka hasn’t just earned respect from those associated with Arsenal but from many others in football – even bigger names than him.

One of them is Vinicius Jr.

After the second leg of the Champions League clash between Real Madrid and Arsenal in 2025, a clash that ended 5-1 in favour of the Gunners on aggregate, the world saw what the two superstars did.

Saka went up to Vinicius to shake hands after the game. At that point, the Brazilian asked the Arsenal number seven for his shirt, and he obliged.

We assume that Vinicius must have that shirt somewhere in his collection. Arsenal fans will sure hope that the two players will be wearing the same colours next season – red and white.

Bukayo Saka and Vinicius Jr would form the most frightening attack in the Premier League

Mikel Arteta has the best goalkeeper in the world, a world-class defence and an incredible midfield. Their attack has been their weakest area.

That will change if they sign Vinicius.

Imagine the Brazilian on one wing and Saka on the other, constantly going after the opposition’s defence time and time again.

Teams double up on the Arsenal number seven now, but if they do that while Vinicius is on the opposite wing, it would be game over for most sides.

It will not be easy for the Gunners to pull this off, but if they do, Arsenal become the favourites to retain the Premier League title.
