Wayne Rooney is confident that the winner of Manchester City versus Arsenal will determine which team wins the Premier League.
Following a weekend of shock results, Manchester City have now closed the gap on the Gunners to six points with a game in hand.

Pep Guardiola’s team will now need to beat Arsenal in the Premier League to reduce the gap further and put the ball back in their court.
Speaking ahead of next weekend’s match, Rooney has made clear the importance of the game and the possible implications for the Premier League title.

Wayne Rooney has admitted that Man City versus Arsenal is a Premier League title decider.
The former Manchester United striker thinks that if City get the better of Arsenal, they will go on to overtake the Gunners.
However, if Arsenal manages to get a result, it will be Mikel Arteta’s team that is crowned champions at the end of the season.
When asked if the game is a title decider, Rooney told BBC Sport: “Yeah, I think it’ll be, obviously it’s an important game, and I think if City win it, I’ll put them as the favourites to go and win the league.
“Obviously, if Arsenal win it, then I think it’s it’s their theirs for the taking. So yeah, it probably is a title decider.”
Rooney now thinks that the pressure of getting over the line is starting to catch up with the Gunners following three defeats in their last four matches.
“I think it’s just the pressure of trying to win the Premier League, and you hear a lot of people talking about experience and how important the experience is of winning league titles.
“I still think they’ve got a great chance to win the league, but they’re just starting to show signs that they’re cracking a little bit.
“City knows how to win the league title. I know City have got a lot of players as well who haven’t won the league, but they know how to do it. They’ve got a man who knows how to do it, and they look strong.”
It’s going to be a massive game next weekend in Manchester, and Arsenal have a big job to do in order to silence the critics.
