Arsenal are on the verge of signing Declan Rice this summer, and it looks like West Ham United have accepted that their skipper will not be at the club next season.
The Gunners went into the market with Rice as their top priority. He was the man Mikel Arteta wanted, and Fabrizio Romano revealed last night that we’re very close to getting the deal done.
Arsenal fans have been waiting for an official announcement on Rice. That hasn’t happened yet, but West Ham may have just dropped a big hint on their website that their captain is leaving.

The Englishman has carried the Irons on his back for years now, and he played a massive part in helping them win the UEFA Conference League at the end of last season.

Now, Rice is all set to leave West Ham for a bigger club like Arsenal, and although there has been no official announcement from either side, eagle-eyed Arsenal fans have spotted something really interesting on the Hammers’ club shop website.
When you go to the official West Ham Store and click on ‘shop by player’, all the West Ham stars’ kits show up for you to purchase ahead of the start of the new season.
Club captain Rice’s shirt, however, is nowhere to be found. The Englishman’s name appears to have been removed in the personalisation menu as well.
That clearly suggests he won’t be at the club next season.
It’s only a matter of time now
We don’t want to jinx anything here, but it really does look like Rice will be an Arsenal player soon.
The Gunners lodged a massive £105 million bid to sign Rice this summer. That fee has been accepted and the two clubs are now negotiating the payment terms to seal a deal.
Sharing the latest on the situation, Romano claimed on YouTube last night: “The agreement between Arsenal and West Ham is in place for the fee – £105 million. The agreement on payment terms is really close.
“Declan Rice is expected to become an Arsenal player very, very soon. We are at the final bits of this long saga for Declan Rice to Arsenal.”
