Arsenal made things difficult for themselves but still managed to come away from Greece with a 3-1 win over Olympiacos last night.

Martin Odegaard and Mohamed Elneny’s stunners will take most of the plaudits, but Gabriel Magalhaes was our man of the match.

The Brazilian has had his difficulties after catching the infamous virus back in December. It took him a while to get back to his best, but last night’s performance showed just how incredible a player he is.

Gabriel was incredibly solid at the back. He made five ball recoveries, two tackles, three clearances, two blocks, one interception and was not dribbled past once in the entire game. (Squawka)

He also had 80 touches of the ball and maintained a very impressive 90% passing accuracy. He won 100% of his aerial duels as well and to top it all off, he scored a stunning goal and picked up an assist to complete an absolutely incredible performance. (Squawka)

Martin Keown claimed that Gabriel’s goal changed the tie last night. (Read here) He is spot on and that, along with Elneny’s late wonder strike, could be the reason why we end up in the quarter finals of the competition.
