Kai Havertz was spotted in conversation on the pitch with the brother of one Arsenal star as Germany beat the Netherlands on Tuesday.
Kai Havertz has enjoyed a successful international break.
The Arsenal man led the line for his country in the victories over France and the Netherlands, and even managed to get on the scoresheet against the former.
Arsenal fans were impressed by the performance Havertz produced against France and he carried that good form into the encounter with the Dutch, although he did not get find the back of the net himself on that occasion.
The 24-year-old has been in fine form for Mikel Arteta’s side in recent weeks. The German has scored in each of his last four Premier League outings and has shone whilst leading the line. Havertz has drawn praise for his interpretation for the false-nine role, and the Arsenal attacking contingent as a whole seems to be working well with the former Chelsea man acting as a focal point.
What Quinten Timber said to Kai Havertz
After the final whistle in Frankfurt, Havertz was seen interacting with Quinten Timber on the pitch. The Netherlands midfielder is the twin brother of Jurrien Timber, who is on the books at Arsenal.
As reported by football.london, the Feyenoord-based Timber twin was seen saying to Havertz, “say hi to my brother for me.”
The Timber brothers were recently in London together and socialising with Arsenal legend Thierry Henry at the Emirates Stadium.
When will Arsenal fans see Jurrien Timber again?
Havertz will have seen far more of Jurrien Timber than Arsenal fans have this season. The defender is still yet to return to action since suffering a serious knee injury on the opening weekend of the Premier League campaign.
However, Timber is now nearing a return to full fitness, and may well still be able to have an impact for Arsenal over the course of the run-in. However, Arteta will certainly handle the former Ajax man’s reintegration with a great deal of care.
