The Gunners remain the favourites to win the Premier League title this season, but dropping points against Manchester United, Nottingham Forest, Brentford and Wolves has to be seen as missed opportunities.

The 2-2 draw against the Wanderers, in particular, was a tough one to take as Arsenal were 2-0 up in that game and should’ve secured the three points from that stage.
After the game, there were arguments among the players behind the scenes, and Mikel Arteta had to intervene. He defused the situation with a brilliant message.

Arsenal’s draw against Wolves was their lowest point of the season.
It was the first time in Premier League history that a team at the top of the table dropped points against a side rock bottom after going two goals up.
You could see that Arsenal players were visibly annoyed after the game, and that frustration did not go away when they returned to the dressing room either.
Miguel Delaney has revealed in his Inside Football newsletter that some players were even arguing with each other behind the scenes after the draw.
That is when Arteta intervened, and the Arsenal manager brought the group together again with a fantastic message.
Delaney wrote: “To Arteta’s credit, he is understood to have handled the fall-out from Wolves well.
“Seeing that the squad was down – to the point that there were arguments between some of the players – he again sought to point to the positives, to turn the thinking around.
“Arteta reminded them that, at any moment in the last few years – or even in their dreams as youngsters – they would have loved a position like this: five points clear in February.”

That speech seems to have done the trick as Arsenal looked more united than ever in the North London Derby against Tottenham and battered them 4-1.
Arteta will be hoping to see more of the same against Chelsea on Sunday.
