Arsenal will be eagerly awaiting the return of Martin Odegaard to full fitness.
Martin Odegaard picked up an injury in the last international break.
Arsenal have coped well in the Norwegian playmaker’s absence, remaining unbeaten whilst taking on the likes of Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, and PSG, amongst others.
However, Mikel Arteta will still be desperate to have the club captain available for selection again as soon as possible.
Odegaard recently provided an update on his own recovery progress, and it is clear that the midfielder feels sure that his rehabilitation is going well. However, it is hard to say for certain when he will next take to the pitch for the Gunners.
It now seems, though, that the North London club still face something of a wait before they will get their skipper back.

Norwegian media report concerning Martin Odegaard news
Norway manager Stale Solbakken has shared his information on Odegaard’s current status.
As quoted in the print edition of Norwegian newspaper Dagsavisen (08/10/2024), Solbakken was reported to have said: “There is great progress in relation to pain and injury, but he is a long way from playing matches.”
He then added that Odegaard is now: “In Arsenal’s hands.”
The club’s medical team will be working closely with the 25-year-old, helping him to return to fitness, whilst being cautious not to rush him back and run the risk of aggravating his injury.
In any case, it now seems somewhat likely that Arteta will still be without Odegaard by the time the international break is over.
How Mikel Arteta has managed without Odegaard
Arsenal have found new ways to thrive without the former Real Madrid man on hand to knit their attacking moves together.
Gabriel Martinelli has stepped up, forming a connection with Riccardo Calafiori, whilst Leandro Trossard has deputised for Odegaard to great effect in a more central role, and Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka have made numerous match-winning contributions.
Arteta will eventually face the challenge of reintegrating Odegaard into the team without his return negatively impacting on the likes of Martinelli. However, if he can successfully do that then the Gunners will represent a truly frightening prospect to opposition defences.
