Whether the FA are going to punish Arsenal star Gabriel Martinelli after what he did to Conor Bradley

Arsenal star Gabriel Martinelli has come under immense criticism for his actions against Conor Bradley of Liverpool.

The Brazil international is one of the nicest guys in the Gunners’ squad, but he seemed to lose his cool in the final stages of the game against the defending Premier League champions.

After Bradley went down, Martinelli suspected that the Liverpool defender was trying to waste time. He even saw the full-back push himself back onto the pitch.

The Arsenal number 11 tried to push him out, and that sparked outrage.

What did you feel when you saw this unfold?

Horrible from Martinelli..

Will Gabriel Martinelli receive further punishment after what he did to Conor Bradley?

As soon as referee Anthony Taylor saw what Martinelli did, he showed him a yellow card.

The Arsenal star did not use any excessive force, nor did he have any violent intent. He just wanted to get on with the game.

Even Mark Clattenburg claimed that a yellow card was the right decision, while exclusively speaking to Arsenal Insider.

However, since the incident, plenty of Liverpool supporters have taken to social media and urged the FA to retrospectively ban Martinelli.

That is a bit overboard, and unfortunately for them, their wish will not come true.

Football London have revealed that the FA are not expected to take any action on Martinelli for pushing Bradley off the pitch.

Since Taylor already cautioned him and would’ve included what happened in his match report, no further sanctions are set to follow.

If you were Conor Bradley, how would you respond to this apology from Gabriel Martinelli?

Arne Slot perfectly summed up what Gabriel Martinelli did and Liverpool fans should listen

We completely understand the outrage from Liverpool fans.

Bradley suffered what looks like a serious knee injury, and no supporter ever wants to see an opponent push their player in such a situation.

However, what Liverpool fans need to understand is that Martinelli, even though he was wrong to do what he did, had no idea about Bradley’s injury and meant no harm with his actions.

Arne Slot understood that after the game and perfectly summed up what happened.

He said as per BBC Sport: “I don’t know Gabriel Martinelli, but he comes across as a nice guy.

“I think the problem for him – and it’s a problem in general in football – is that there is so much time-wasting and players pretending that they are injured in the final parts of the game and during the game, that you can sometimes be annoyed if you want to try to score a goal that you think the player is time-wasting.

“You cannot ask Martinelli to think so clear in the 94th minute. I am 100 per cent sure that if he knew what the injury might be, then he would never do that.”
