Arsenal will wear an all-white kit in their FA Cup third-round clash against Liverpool tomorrow evening.

Arsenal are gearing up for a mouth-watering tie against Liverpool in the FA Cup.

The Gunners have been on a slump in form in the league and could do with a statement victory against the Reds.

Ahead of this fixture, Mikel Arteta is expected to make a few changes to the side that lost to Fulham, perhaps dropping David Raya for Aaron Ramsdale and resting Bukayo Saka.

Aside from alterations to personnel, there is also going to be a change to the strip that Arsenal wear.

Arteta’s side will don a completely white kit – similar to what North London rivals often wear – instead of their usual red and white.

But why are they wearing all white on Sunday evening? Let’s take a look…

Why are Arsenal wearing white?

In the past two seasons, you may remember that Arsenal have worn an all-white strip on two occasions in the FA Cup.

The North London giants wore the strip in a 1-0 FA Cup defeat against Nottingham Forest in 2022 and then in a 3-0 victory over Oxford United in 2023.

It was worn as part of its campaign against knife crime and youth violence.

This time, however, will be the first time the Premier League team has worn the kit in a home game for its ‘No More Red’ initiative and Freddie Hudson, Head of Arsenal in the Community, explains why.

He said: “Young people face multiple challenges as they grow up in today’s world and we don’t have all the answers, but we are confident that by acting together and shining a light on the support network available across our community, we can make a significant contribution to the lives of our participants.”

Is the Arsenal kit being put on sale?

With this the third season that Arsenal have been drained of the club’s traditional red to raise awareness, many supporters may wonder whether the kit is available to buy.

Unfortunately, while the kits aren’t for sale, a community t-shirt will be sold and the Gunners have said 100% of the retail price will be donated to charity.

The No More Red campaign has placed investment in initiatives to tackle knife crime while creating safer places to play football as well as organised activities within the community.

So, get yourselves signed up to the cause if you want to get your hands on a limited edition t-shirt which is available to buy from January 29th.
