Myles Lewis-Skelly was one of the big winners from Arsenal’s win over Fulham this weekend but he could still end up leaving the club.

Lewis-Skelly was out of the picture for plenty of time this season but has been given a few chances in recent weeks and has excelled.

Stuck in midfield alongside Declan Rice this weekend, Lewis-Skelly was brilliant in a dominant performance.

However, despite the recent resurgence for the youngster, Arsenal could still sell him this summer.

Arsenal may still sell Myles Lewis-Skelly this summer

Arsenal are expected to be busy in the summer window but while spending won’t be a problem, it also means they might need to bring money in.

According to The Telegraph, Lewis-Skelly is well regarded at Arsenal but the club are still considering selling their man this summer.

The big reason behind any potential sale comes in the form of Arsenal complying with financial regulations.

Selling Lewis-Skelly would count as ‘pure profit’, meaning the club could offset the entirety of any fee made against potential incomings.

Of course, Arsenal fans would rather see one of their young stars be kept at the club. There is also suggestions Ethan Nwaneri could be sold, as Arsenal look to bring in as much money as possible.

Lewis-Skelly’s recent midfield performances will have given the Arsenal board – as well as Mikel Arteta – food for thought.

Indeed, Arteta was impressed with his man this weekend.

“He fully deserves it. I’ve been tough on him. He had a spectacular season last year when he jumped into the first team,” Arteta said.

“He had some difficult moments after that, but he stayed very humble, very focused, very aligned with what we wanted to do, and I knew he was ready. He’s been showing in training every day the opportunities that he had to play.

“He’s done it and today he really stepped up and I thought he had an incredible performance.”

With Arsenal set to demand around £50m for Lewis-Skelly, it remains to be seen if anyone will stump up the cash to get him.
