The Gunners became champions of England for the first time in 22 years after City failed to beat Bournemouth on the south coast.

There were wild celebrations in N5 on Tuesday and into the early hours of Wednesday morning, but one man who was missing was Arteta.

Mikel Arteta misses Arsenal’s Premier League title celebrations

Mikel Arteta watched his Arsenal team become Premier League champions with his family at home, according to Hand of Arsenal.

The Spanish coach has been on quite the most remarkable journey to get to this point, with many highs but also many lows.

But after six years of being patient and trusting the process, the North London club have finally won the biggest trophy with Arteta at the helm.

Arteta will have needed the support of his family over the last few years, given some of the near moments, but on Tuesday evening, the pain was all made worthwhile.

The Arsenal manager was adamant that the squad should watch Bournemouth against City together at the training ground, despite not being there himself.

The Gunners’ players celebrated the win into the early hours of the morning, and some were even spotted outside the Emirates Stadium at about 5 am.

Players like Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard have been on an incredible journey to get to this point, but nobody at the club is more deserving of this moment than Arteta.

On Sunday afternoon in South London, Arteta and Arsenal will finally get their hands on the Premier League trophy after six years of work.
