Arsenal have had to deal with a lot of injuries this season.
The likes of Gabriel Jesus, Martin Odegaard, Mikel Merino, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Martinelli have all had fitness issues at one point or another over the last few months.
Mikel Arteta has had to work really hard to keep this Arsenal side on the right path, and the Spaniard has done that magnificently well.
Now, if a new report is to be believed, another Arsenal player has suffered an injury… again.
TeamTalk claim that Tomiyasu, who made his first appearance of the season against Southampton after recovering from an injury that kept him out for months, has suffered another issue.
It has been claimed that the Japan international, who was previously branded as ‘world-class’ by Ben White (Goal), is ruled out of the clash against Bournemouth on Saturday and could face another spell on the sidelines.
That is not ideal at all.

Arsenal fans have their say after Takehiro Tomiyasu suffers another injury
Tomiyasu has missed a total of 54 games for Arsenal and Japan since February 2022.
That is a shocking record and it’s a real shame as well. When he’s fit and available, Tomiyasu is a sensational option to have across the backline.
But, constant injury issues have sadly made him unreliable, and after the news about another fitness issue for Tomiyasu, Arsenal fans all feel that it’s time to sell him.
One Arsenal fan tweeted: “Too many injuries now for Tomi. We really love Tomi but maybe it’s just time we part ways.”
Another wrote: “Unfortunately, he’s candidate number one for sale.”
“The fact that Tomiyasu getting injured again after a six-minute cameo is so believable is a pretty deserved but concerning reflection of how unreliable he’s been recently,” said another.
Another Gooner tweeted: “I feel sorry for Takehiro Tomiyasu. No player chooses to have an injury and hopefully, we get to sell him this coming transfer window.”
“Tomiyasu and KT can leave now. It was good seeing y’all ball for Arsenal but your time is up,” said another.
Mikel Arteta’s confusing summer decision now makes sense
Arteta has got a lot of things right at Arsenal over the years.
The Spaniard has always stuck to his beliefs from the start, and although some of his decisions have looked confusing, he went ahead with them and has been proven right.
One example is when Arteta decided to keep Jakub Kiwior at Arsenal in the summer.
Following Riccardo Calafiori’s arrival, everyone felt that the Pole was surplus to requirements, and Arteta keeping him felt a bit strange.
However, with Tomiyasu not being able to stay fit, the decision to keep Kiwior makes a lot of sense. Arteta deserves praise for that.
