Andrea Berta needs to be lining up a move for RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande in the summer, with the teenager on fire in the Bundesliga.

As Arsenal Insider revealed back in November, Arsenal have been watching Diomande, and the race for his signature is likely to be rather fierce.

Berta is looking to sign a new attacker in the summer, with left wing likely to be the priority, given the need to replace Gabriel Martinelli.

Diomande is only 18, so it would be a major gamble from the Gunners, but he has taken Germany by storm and looks ready to do the same in the Premier League.

Arsenal need to move for Yan Diomande

Yan Diomande is quickly emerging as one of Europe’s most exciting talents, and Arsenal cannot afford to miss out on him in their pursuit of a left winger.

The Ivorian international took his goal tally to 10 for the season over the weekend as he netted in Leipzig’s 2-1 win over Hamburg.

The teenager managed to get the better of Spurs’ highly-rated defensive talent Luka Vuskovic, showing just how good he can be.

Recently, the 18-year-old has been on fire, producing six goal involvements in his last seven Bundesliga appearances.

Diomande also shone at the African Cup of Nations, helping his team reach the quarter-finals of the competition.

The youngster is right-footed, but can play on either flank, featuring 18 times at right wing and seven times on the left for Leipzig.

Liverpool have also shown an interest in the winger, and whilst Leipzig accept that he will soon leave, they want £87 million for him, according to Philipp Hinze.

Yan Diomande would be a big upgrade on Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard

Given the form of both Martinelli and Leandro Trossard, Diomande most certainly would be a big upgrade on both wingers.

Trossard has just one goal in his last 14 Premier League matches; meanwhile, Martinelli has not scored in the league since September.

The Gunners are missing firepower on the wings, and Diomande has already shown that he could add goals to Mikel Arteta’s team.

The Gunners cannot afford another season with these two as their left-wing options, so it’s time for Berta to get to work on replacing the pair.
