After Viktor Gyokeres, another forward wants Arsenal instead of Man United but it would be a mistake

Viktor Gyokeres chose Arsenal despite strong interest from Manchester United in the summer.

The Sweden international striker had worked with Ruben Amorim at Sporting CP, and Manchester United had hoped that they could use that relationship to lure him to Old Trafford.

However, Gyokeres had no interest in Manchester United and only wanted Arsenal. After a long saga, Andrea Berta got the deal over the line.

Now, another forward is dreaming of following in the same footsteps – Karim Adeyemi.

Karim Adeyemi wants to join Arsenal instead of Manchester United, but it would be a mistake

Karim Adeyemi has been in the headlines a lot this week.

It was reported that Manchester United are interested in signing the Borussia Dortmund forward, and it has to be said that they could do with a player like him.

However, TeamTalk have now revealed that Adeyemi prefers a move to Arsenal over the Red Devils in one of the two transfer windows in 2026.

Gunners fans should be happy that players like Gyokeres and now Adeyemi want to join their club instead of United, but this move would be a mistake for both parties.

Should Arsenal sign Karim Adeyemi in 2026?

Arsenal’s attack is extremely strong when everyone is fit. The likes of Viktor Gyokeres, Kai Havertz, Bukayo Saka, Noni Madueke, Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard and Eberechi Eze are all excellent options.

Adeyemi is a good player to have for most clubs because of his ability to play in every single attacking position, but Arsenal just don’t need him because they already have better players.

A move to North London doesn’t make much sense to the German either because he will struggle to get the kind of game time that he would like.

Adeyemi is not wrong to dream of a move to the Emirates, but it would be better for him and Arsenal if he decides to go elsewhere.

Arsenal will only need to sign a new attacker if one thing happens

Arsenal have the best squad in the Premier League right now. They have multiple options in every position, especially their attack.

Berta signed three new attackers in the summer – Gyokeres, Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke – and all three players have improved the Gunners.

That is why Arsenal don’t need Adeyemi or any other forward player, but that will change if one of their current frontmen leave.

The Gunners are open to offers for Martinelli, while 30-year-old Trossard is not getting any younger. If one or both of them leave, Berta will have to dive back into the market for a replacement.
