Arsenal 1-0 West Ham United: Player Ratings

Again, like on Saturday it wasn’t the most convincing performance, but we got the win to put us into the semi-final.
With a more experienced side fielded than expected not many players stood out but here’s how everyone played:

David Ospina – 6.5

A very quiet night for Ospina in which he didn’t have to make a save but he claimed crosses from corners very well.

Mathieu Debuchy – 7.2

Another solid outing from the Frenchman in which he was very consistent at the back and did well to head the ball into the box for his assist for the only goal of the night.

Calum Chambers – 7.2

A very dominant performance. Chambers won the majority of his headers and stuck his foot in when needed and was able to handle Andy Carroll when he came onto the pitch.

Rob Holding – 6.9

Wasn’t as dominant as Chambers but also did well in his battles, coming out on top more often than not.

Sead Kolasinac – 6.9

Linking up with the ‘B Team’ Kolasinac showed flashes of the player we saw a few months ago. Most of the time he chose to take a touch a recycle possession but when he drove forward he created a chance for Walcott who headed wide.

Mohamed Elneny – 6.5

A typical Elneny performance as he kept things moving in the engine room and was tireless in his pressing.

Francis Coquelin – 7.5

A very accomplished performance. Last night, Coquelin showed everyone that he is able to pass the ball well as he was the main player passing forward which ended up paying off in the build-up for Welbeck’s goal.

Joe Willock – 7.7

A great display from the youngster. He had a very complete performance from winning the ball back to going past opponents and passing very well.

Theo Walcott – 6.3

A frustrating night. Playing on the right wing, Walcott came deep too often to receive the ball instead off running in behind. The one chance he had he took completely wrong and should’ve buried.

Danny Welbeck – 7.3

Other than his goal, which was sloppily taken he was quiet and couldn’t really get into the game much as his runs were ignored at times but still did well to get us into the semi-final.

Olivier Giroud – 6.5

Another quiet performance. Giroud couldn’t quite did into the game as a lot of our play didn’t reflect his strengths in a game he struggled in.

Reiss Nelson – 6.5

Came on towards the end of the match and showed some good touches but didn’t have much time to change anything.

Ben Sheaf – 6.3

Slotted into the midfield well and did well to keep everything in his display controlled.

Josh Da Silva – 6.1

Made a mistake which led to a West Ham counter but did well other than that
