According to a report from The Mirror, Arsenal want to bring back former manager and club icon Arsene Wenger back to the Emirates. The Frenchman is currently heading FIFA’s Global Football Development team but Arsenal feel that bringing him back would help garner support among fans.
Wenger left the club after 22 years of incredible service. He is undoubtedly an absolute legend of the game and Arsenal Football Club and we would be lucky to have him back in some capacity.

The report claims that that senior figures at the club are already making inroads to talk him into returning. Wenger has proclaimed his love for the club on multiple occasions both before and after leaving as the manager.
His final few years at the club created a divide among the fan base but a vast majority still regard him highly. Wenger returning is beneficial to the club in so many different levels. He would most likely get a hero’s welcome if it does happen and Arteta’s influence could be key here.

The Gunners boss has stressed on the importance of bringing the old Arsenal back since his appointment. He has reportedly visited the Highbury offices to start a relationship with the staff, something that Emery never did.
Wenger is definitely someone Arteta looks up to. His presence could be extremely valuable for our new boss if or when the pressure mounts on him in the future. A helping hand in Wenger would ease things considerably and bringing him back is a no brainer.

Would love to see Wenger back. Understand why he stayed away during the Emery era but would be a nice boost for Arteta. Hope that statue gets built soon. https://t.co/eblCZgslKv
