Arsenal might be seven points clear in the Premier League title race but there remain some elements of Mikel Arteta’s side that are not quite up to scratch.
For all the attacking football and the solid defence we see most weeks from Arteta’s men, the manager himself will probably admit there are always ways to improve.

However, we’ve also all been here before and we’ve seen big points deficits eroded by Man City and Liverpool in the past.
Liverpool, coincidentally, is where we need to look for Arsenal to draw inspiration from if they are to ensure they capture that league title.

But football can change quickly and for the Gunners to continue on their path towards being champions, they need more from certain players.
That takes us to the wide forwards or wingers in this current squad that, quite frankly, aren’t contributing enough in terms of goals and assists.
Bukayo Saka is once again the leading man for Arsenal here with four goals and four assists in the league but outside of that, the Gunners look short.
Gabi Martinelli has netted just one league goal, while Noni Madueke has yet to score.
The interesting comparison here is that if we look at the current champions, Liverpool, and look outside of Mo Salah’s 29 goals, they stand out.

Between Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo and Diogo Jota, they contributed another 29 Premier League goals, a massive total.
In comparison, Arsenal’s two top goal scorers in the PL this season are Viktor Gyokeres and Leandro Trossard, both of whom have scored just five times.

So, for all the pressure being put on Gyokeres, it is Arsenal’s wide players who need to contribute more and ultimately, help them get over the line in the race for trophies.
Title winning teams need a main goal scorer and then others to chip in. Yes, Arsenal might do it their own way with the defence leading the way.
But with two 0-0 draws in a row, these Arsenal attackers need to find a way and find it fast.
