Arsenal have corrected one embarrassing mistake they made last season

Arsenal are doing a lot right, not just on the pitch but off it as well.

The Gunners are six points clear at the top of the Premier League table, and they have won all four of their games in the Champions League without conceding a single goal.

Mikel Arteta must be delighted with how things are going, and the fans are fully behind the team as well.

That was evident with Arsenal’s incredible tifo against Tottenham Hotspur.

Arsenal’s tifo vs Tottenham proves they have learnt from their mistake

Tifos are a big part of European football, but they’re not that common in England.

Some teams do it really well, but Arsenal got it all wrong in their Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain in the 2024/25 season.

The clash at the Emirates in April was the Gunners’ biggest fixture in over a decade, and the supporters wanted to create a brilliant atmosphere at the stadium.

However, the Gunners blocked a fan-funded tifo and unveiled a roof-hung cannon design instead.

It was a plain picture of a cannon with a red background, and it led to a lot of backlash from the Emirates Stadium faithful, with some even describing it as embarrassing.

Now, six months later, it is clear that the North Londoners have learnt their lesson.

Arsenal’s tifo against Tottenham was incredible, and that definitely played a part in their dominant victory in the North London Derby.

We hope there’s more of that to come this season.

How Arsenal’s tifo mocked Tottenham fans

When you look at Arsenal’s tifo, you see a mix of club legends and current stars, along with the message ‘The Arsenal: These streets are our own’.

At first glance, it appears to send a clear message to Tottenham that North London belongs to the Gunners. The result backed that.

However, if you look closely, the player on top of the tifo is none other than Sol Campbell, the former Spurs skipper who left them for Arsenal.

Having the Englishman higher in the tifo than bigger legends like Thierry Henry and Tony Adams was clearly meant to upset Spurs fans, and it worked.

Many Tottenham supporters weren’t happy, but what caused them even more pain was their side’s embarrassing performance that led to a 4-1 defeat.
