Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has been talked about a lot on social media lately.
Domestic football is on nobody’s mind right now because of the international break. All eyes have been on England over the last few days.
Due to that, one huge debate surfaced on X involving Bukayo Saka.
Bukayo Saka proves that he is a guaranteed starter for England
A popular account on X made a bold statement ahead of England’s World Cup qualifier against Serbia.
InvertTheWing wrote: “Saka is a good player. But my word, do Arsenal fans overrate him SO much. Like they put him on a completely different pedestal he’s not. Guaranteed starter for England? Come on.”
That led to a big debate on the platform, with several supporters disagreeing with the X user. However, some rival fans backed that claim.
In our opinion, that is a ridiculous thing to say – it made no sense. Saka proved that at Wembley on Thursday night.
The Arsenal number seven gave England the lead with a stunning volley. He found the net from an xG of just 0.02, which is simply outrageous.
That makes it three direct goal contributions in Saka’s last three England games, and he was among the best players on the pitch in all of those fixtures.
People on social media can say what they want, but Saka is an undisputed starter on the right wing for England. Thomas Tuchel knows that, and after the Arsenal star’s performance on Thursday, so should everyone else.
Bukayo Saka’s World Cup record proves he should start every game for England
England have a great team and a fantastic manager.
The Three Lions came close to glory under Gareth Southgate on multiple occasions, but the 2026 FIFA World Cup could finally be when they get over the line.
Saka has played in just one World Cup so far – in Qatar in 2022. He was incredible in that tournament, despite only being 21 at the time.
In four games in the competition, Saka scored three goals and provided an assist. Even in the defeat to France in the quarter-finals, he was outstanding.
Now 24, Saka is a much better player, and we are convinced he will start all the big games in the World Cup next summer.
