Arsenal and Newcastle United have formed a bit of a rivalry in recent years.
The Gunners used to regularly get wins over the Toon in the past, but since PIF took over and appointed Eddie Howe, they have caused a few problems.
Newcastle becoming a good team is not an issue to Arsenal fans, but how overly physical they are every time they face Mikel Arteta’s side has been really annoying.
There have been a few altercations on the pitch between the players, while the coaches have had a go at each other on the touchline as well.
Arsenal vs Newcastle has become a feisty affair, and things could go up a notch if one thing happens in the coming days.

Newcastle United are eyeing a move for long-time Arsenal target Benjamin Sesko
Benjamin Sesko has been on Arsenal’s radar for several years now.
The Gunners have followed his career closely, and in the summer of 2024, Edu and Arteta tried to bring him to the Emirates Stadium.
Sesko rejected Arsenal last year, but there was hope among Gunners fans that they could land him in this summer’s transfer window.
But, Arsenal cooled their interest in Sesko after RB Leipzig refused to budge on their crazy demands for the Slovenia international striker.
The North Londoners are about to sign Viktor Gyokeres to fill their striker void, and right after they do that, Newcastle could end up signing Sesko.
Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Sesko is high up on Newcastle’s wish list if Alexander Isak ends up leaving them. The Toon are planning to hold talks with the RB Leipzig star imminently.
Sesko would be a great signing for Newcastle, but Arsenal will not like playing against him.
Arsenal will hate playing against Newcastle if Benjamin Sesko joins them
Arsenal’s games against Newcastle United in recent years have been very physical.
The likes of Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton are always too strong in tackles, and many of Arteta’s men have been left on the ground in pain.
That has created a bit of tension between the two clubs, and now, if Newcastle sign Arsenal’s long-time target Sesko, that animosity could grow further.
To add to that, Sesko is 6ft 5in tall and is not afraid of a physical battle by any means. He will be difficult to defend against, especially if he learns a few things from Joelinton and Guimaraes.
Either way, we think Arsenal have struck a better deal for Viktor Gyokeres, and we’re convinced he is going to be a star in the upcoming campaign.
