Bukayo Saka as Taylor Swift, who Arsenal players would be if they were pop stars

Aside from the professions they’ve perfected, there’s not a lot of difference between professional footballers and those at the top of the music industry.

Earning millions of pounds, selling out stadiums and having the adoring presence of fans following, footballers really are the new pop stars in today’s generation.

Very often, the entertainment and football worlds collide, as we saw when Anne Hathaway sent a message to Bukayo Saka.

Arsenal themselves have many superstars representing the cannon, but if they switched roles with some of the biggest names in the music industry, who would be who?

For those asking the question, Arsenal Insider have compiled a list.

Bukayo Saka – Taylor Swift

When it comes to global stardom, one name springs to mind, and that’s Taylor Swift.

With 208m followers on Instagram, Swift is an icon worldwide, to put it simply, a superstar.

So, who better to nominate as Swift’s equal from an Arsenal point of view than Saka, the Gunners’ own starboy.

Gabriel Jesus – Bad Bunny

If it’s flair that Mikel Arteta wants, then his answer is Gabriel Jesus.

Just like the flair that Jesus provides on the pitch, Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny brings an identical energy to the stage.

Martin Odegaard – Chris Martin (Coldplay)

As Arsenal’s captain, Martin Odegaard is the leader of the squad, just as Chris Martin is the frontman of Coldplay.

The Norwegian would be Martin if he were a popstar, but not just for that reason.

Not everyone would admit to Coldplay being their favourite, but everyone secretly likes them, which is the same stance that Arsenal fans have with Odegaard.

Both calm in nature and in their professions, Odegaard is Arsenal’s very own Chris Martin.

Gabriel Martinelli – Rihanna

In the music industry, who is known as one of the best but isn’t giving fans what they want?

The answer is Rihanna, who hasn’t released an album since 2016.

So, the next question is, who is Arsenal’s equivalent to the Bajan superstar?

That would be Gabriel Martinelli, whose talent is there for all to see, but he’s not delivering!

Martinelli only has one Premier League goal to his name this season, leaving fans wanting more.

Declan Rice – Kevin Parker (Tame Impala)

Declan Rice, Arsenal’s definition of a man who can do it all.

Defensive strength, playmaking, goalscoring, Rice has it all.

In the pop world, the man who also does it all is Kevin Parker, the figure behind Tame Impala.

So often, music fans will ask, ‘Do you know Tame Impala is one person?’

In Arsenal terms, that ‘do it all’ figure is Rice.
