What is it with these Arsenal experts?, the back stabbing has been extended from the external Arsenal haters to now some of our own. Tim Payton who is a leading member of the AST should know better than to create more internal divisions in the club on his twitter feed. For those who don’t know Tim Payton, he is not shy about giving his opinion, and considers himself to be one of the official spokesmen for Arsenal Football club despite not being a formal employee of the club. It appears that as well as liking the sound of his own voice, he also has an ego the size of a planet if his televised appearances before the Parliamentary Select Committee is anything to go by. Yes Tim, we know that you set up Arsenal fanshare and that the Select Committee recommended that model for other clubs to follow, well done! Three cheers and all that, let’s give you a slap on the back, and aren’t you a jolly good fellow. But with your great fame comes responsibility, and dissing our current captain CF4 on your twitter feed is not one of them. I hate the tabloids, but I what I detest even more are the people who use the tabloid mischief to create even more divisions between Arsenal fans. You sir should know better. It is bad enough dealing with the divisive media without our own giving these scumbag papers ammunition to shoot us with.
The same goes for the fans who booed the team at the Emirates during the Emirates Cup and the media pundits labelled Arsenal watchers who are queuing up to predict the “crisis” at the club. I won’t even begin to repeat the worn headlines. Yes the Arsenal fans booed the team at the Emirates Cup, yes there is frustration about the Nasri situation, and yes the transfers are taking time to be sorted. But why do we need to score an own goal before the season has even started? At the end of last season I identified our first team coach Primorac as the cause of our problems and called for him to be replaced. But until Arsene Wenger resigns then there is no chance of that. His defiance is marked by the talking of Pat Rice into another year. With every passing week Arsene Wenger looks increasingly isolated, and it suggests to me that we could be seeing the sun setting upon his legacy at the club. I would even predict that this will be his last season at the club, because there is only so much dirt a proud man can take. The lack of transfer acitivity is almost certainly due to the uncertainty about the season’s revenues should we fail to qualify for the Champions League stages. If that happens will we continue to boo our own team? So…If we want to have Arsenal slide down the Premier League table and towards oblivion, keep booing. Just be very careful what you all wish for. My message to all you malcontents out there is Just for once STFU! we all know what the problems are at the club. Give Arsene Wenger until the end of the Transfer window and then and ONLY then judge his buys. By all means moan on the available blogs or with your mates, but Support the club vocally until the end of the next season and then if you must, you can make your protests. Anything less before then disqualifies you all absolutely from being called Arsenal supporters.
