Gabriel Martinelli will surely love what’s just happened to Aston Villa ahead of Arsenal clash

Arsenal have been handed a huge boost ahead of facing Aston Villa as Unai Emery’s team will now be without both Matty Cash and Boubacar Kamara.

Gabriel Martinelli could well be the player to come in at left wing against Aston Villa and will be licking his lips at the prospect of them being without their first-choice right-back.

Tuesday evening will see the Premier League’s first and third-place teams go head-to-head in what could have huge consequences in the title race.

Mikel Arteta’s side will be eager to exact revenge on the Midlands club after they defeated them 2-1 earlier this month.

Meanwhile, Villa will travel to the Emirates Stadium hoping to prove their title credentials and extend their winning run to 12 matches.

But they will be doing so without two key players, which hands Arteta a huge advantage heading into the massive Premier League fixture.

Matty Cash and Boubacar Kamara suspended vs Arsenal

Matty Cash and Boubacar Kamara are both suspended for the trip to the Emirates to face Arsenal in the Premier League.

The Villa duo both received their fifth yellow cards for the season against Chelsea, meaning they are now banned for one match.

Cash has been hugely important for Unai Emery’s team this season, and even managed to find the back of the net at Villa Park in the win over Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Villa are short of replacements at right-back, with Lamare Bogarde the most likely candidate to replace him.

However, Kamara’s absence is likely to be an even bigger blow for the Villains, with the French midfielder enjoying a strong campaign.

The 26-year-old has been an invaluable member of Villa’s midfield and will likely be replaced by Amadou Onana.

Mikel Arteta must bring in Gabriel Martinelli at left wing vs Aston Villa

Arteta must look to bring in Martinelli at left wing against Villa and hand Leandro Trossard a rest against Emery’s team.

The Spanish coach faces a dilemma at the left wing, with Trossard, Martinelli, and Eberechi Eze all ready to step up against the Dutch defender.

Trossard looked great once again in the win over Brighton, but Martinelli has also been impressing recently, especially with his display against Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup.

The Brazilian winger caused Jaydee Canvot all sorts of problems during the EFL Cup match and forced Oliver Glasner to withdraw him at half-time.

The 24-year-old could now do the same to Bogarde, who will surely hate coming up against such a tricky dribbler like Martinelli.
