We are already sick to the back teeth of Barca’s interest in Cesc so this one doing the rounds is laughable. However, old Peppy has had his say on our teen sensation. He said: “He (Wilshere) is a great player – a great player for Arsenal. And in any case Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger doesn’t sell his best players.”

In other news, interesting to see reports that we are weighing up offers for Swedish teenagers Kristoffer Olsson and Robert Mirosavic after a successful second trial.
Olsson, 15, who plays for IFK Norrköpings, played for Arsenal U16s against Crystal Palace and has been invited to take part in the Ferrolli Cup at the end of the season. Striker Mirosavic has been offered a youth contract by Helsingborgs as he has turned 16 but is holding out for an offer from Arsenal.
