Jurgen Klopp looks set for a return to football in the coming days as the new manager of Germany.

Klopp has taken a break from the game since leaving Liverpool but after appearing here and there during the World Cup, he appears ready for a return to the dugout.

The chance to manage his country will clearly enthrall him and Germany fans will rightfully be excited.

Still, while the focus will be on Klopp – and of course Liverpool’s Florian Wirtz – Arsenal forward Kai Havertz might also be a huge beneficiary of Klopp’s new role.

Jurgen Klopp already loves Kai Havertz

Kai Havertz has been a regular in the German set up for some time anyway but with Klopp taking over, he could be set for an even bigger role.

He played the role of main striker for much of this World Cup but with Klopp’s appointment coming, he could well end up being Klopp’s own version of Liverpool legend Roberto Firmino.

Klopp was responsible for Firmino becoming one of the best forwards in the Premier League. His ability to play as a ‘false 9’ and drop in deep made him a nightmare to defend against and Havertz has similar qualities in his game already.

Furthermore, Klopp has already shown his admiration for Havertz with some past comments.

“There are a lot of good players on this planet,” Klopp told Sky Germany. “Timo Werner is a great player, Kai Havertz is a great player.

“Right time, opportunity – everything has to come together. Six, seven weeks ago, we didn’t know if we could play again this year. If we hadn’t played the second half of the season, we would have thought, ‘OK, when can you really play football again?’ And now it starts right away.”

Clearly, there is an admiration already there from Klopp towards Havertz and a number of German players.

For Havertz, who enjoyed a fine season with Arsenal last year, this can only be a boost for him personally.

Arsenal, meanwhile, will only benefit from Havertz being influential at international level too.

In a nutshell, Klopp’s appointment with Germany is a win-win for all involved at Arsenal.
