Not sure if you caught this passage of dialogue between our very own wunderkind Jack Wilshere and Manchester United’s Rio Ferdinand on Twitter in the week.
The England pals had a bit of a love-in ahead of the rip-roaring Reds’ visit to Very Old Trafford on Monday night – all a far cry from the days the likes of Rocky, Keown, Nutty Nige, Parlour, Wrighty and Adams had it with the Mancs on the pitch.
Rio can normally be found on Twitter having verbals with hasbeen Robbie Savage, with the girly-haired one usually coming out second best. The Jack and Rio online chitter-chatter was rather more friendly.
I am neither going to applaud or decry their tweety convo but as a fan I think I would prefer an air of hostility come the Premier League showdown rather than an ‘after you Claud’ stance.
Twitter addict Rio wanted to buy Jack some grub after the game but our teeny bopper told him that AW wouldn’t let the payers stay over and mix with the enemy…sort of. But it seems the pair will be swapping shirts after the encounter, bless. It went something like this…
Yo u staying up after the game?
dont think so mate! Gaffer wont let us! Why mate!?
i would of treated the young gunner 2 some dinner, no worries.
next time your staying in london tweet me and we will hook up! topman see you monday! and i want your shirt after!!!
done deal bro,a lil swapsy! take it easy.
A little swapsy indeed. Suspend your friendship come kick-off Jack!
