The tables have turned between Arsenal and Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola’s side have been the most successful club in England over the last decade, but the Gunners look ready to dethrone them.
The evidence on the pitch is clear, but what’s happening behind the scenes now also proves that Arsenal have surpassed their title rivals – Manchester City are eyeing a surprise move for Andrea Berta!
What grade are you giving Andrea Berta? Explain your answers!
Manchester City’s interest in Andrea Berta proves that Arsenal have overtaken them
Berta only joined Arsenal last year, but he is already attracting interest.
The Italian exceeded all expectations in his first transfer window at the club, and fans can’t wait to see what he has in store for them this summer.
Reports have claimed that clubs like Manchester City and Bayern Munich are interested in hiring Berta, along with French giants Monaco.
That interest is a surprise, especially from City, but it also speaks volumes.
Over six years ago, Arsenal went to the Etihad to get Mikel Arteta as their manager. The Spaniard then lured Nicolas Jover away from the Sky Blues to join him at the Emirates.

Then, Arsenal signed Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko from City in the same window, and both players helped transform the club into title contenders.
Now, the tables have turned.
Arsenal have become the best team in the Premier League and are nine points clear of Manchester City in the table.
Arteta’s men are the favourites to win the Champions League too, a competition City have just crashed out of in the round of 16.
Now, in what is further proof that Arsenal have overtaken their title rivals on all fronts, the Sky Blues are showing interest in Berta after his incredible work at the club over the last year.
Manchester City are interested in Andrea Berta. If you were Stan Kroenke, how would you respond?
Manchester City have gone from being the dominant side Arsenal looked at for help to a team who are chasing the Gunners and eyeing moves for their key figures.
The good news is that Berta is not expected to leave Arsenal for City. We expect the same result if the club from Manchester eye a move for Arteta once Guardiola leaves as well.
Arsenal are in a perfect position to dominate, and if things go to plan, it’s Manchester City’s turn to sit back and watch the North Londoners make history.
