Arsenal star Cristhian Mosquera suffered an injury during the win against Brentford.
The Gunners were the favourites to pick up all three points against the Bees on Wednesday night, and they did just that.
Mikel Merino and Bukayo Saka scored the goals, but injuries hit Arsenal hard once again.
Declan Rice suffered a calf issue, but that doesn’t seem serious. However, Mosquera’s injury could force him out of the clash against Aston Villa on Saturday.
This is how long Cristhian Mosquera could be out for after his injury!
Jurrien Timber should replace Cristhian Mosquera when Arsenal face Aston Villa
When Cristhian Mosquera went down injured against Brentford, Arsenal fans were worried because William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes were also unavailable.
Mikel Arteta turned to Jurrien Timber to come on as a central defender, a position he has played in many times for Ajax and the Dutch national team.
The 24-year-old was absolutely flawless against the Bees. He looked comfortable in the heart of the defence and easily dealt with everything Brentford threw at him.
With Gabriel definitely out and Saliba and Mosquera’s unavailability still unclear, Arteta should deploy Timber at centre-half against Aston Villa.

Ben White, who was truly incredible against Brentford, can continue at right-back, where he can reignite his dangerous partnership with Saka.
One of Arsenal’s other options is to move Riccardo Calafiori to the centre, with Myles Lewis-Skelly playing as a left-back.
However, that would upset the balance of the team because it would mean that three of the back four would be left-footed.
We’re sure Arteta already knows that, which is why Timber is the perfect choice to replace Mosquera on Saturday.

Jurrien Timber may just be the most complete defender in the world
Timber has been incredible for Arsenal since the start of last season.
The Dutch international surprised everyone with his performances in the 2024/25 campaign. Many people expected him to struggle after returning from his ACL injury, but he was sensational.
This season, Timber has taken his game to a whole new level, and he is definitely the best right-back in the world right now.
What makes him even better is his versatility. The former Ajax man can play anywhere across the backline without a drop in quality, and he can fill in as a number six too.
That, in our opinion, makes Timber the most complete defender on the planet.
