Mikel Arteta will be absolutely delighted with his decision to sign Trossard back in 2023 and even more so that the North London club kept him over the summer.

Jamie Carragher believes that Trossard is now one of the first names on the team sheet at Arsenal following his move from Brighton almost three years ago.

“What a player he’s been for them! He was brought in as almost a squad player a few years ago, but he’s now almost the first choice on that side,” Carragher told Sky Sports.

“He always pops up with goals, fantastic addition from Brighton.”

The former Premier League defender is spot on about him being nailed on to start, and perhaps it’s now time for Berta to consider halting Arsenal’s search for a left winger.
