Viktor Gyokeres, Kai Havertz and Gabriel Martinelli were the goal-scorers to ensure that the Gunners collected yet another three points.

But one player who really impressed during the win was Eze, despite not getting a goal involvement against the team from Kazakhstan.

Eberechi Eze must start for Arsenal at Leeds

Eberechi Eze must start for Arsenal against Leeds following his performance against FC Kairat in the Champions League.

The midfielder started in the left-sided number eight role and was quite comfortably one of the Gunners’ standout performers.

Eze managed 77 touches, completed three dribbles, four progressive carries and made a very impressive three key passes during the match.

Meanwhile, Odegaard struggled against Kairat, coming on at half-time, and managing to lose possession on 15 occasions.

Who was Arsenal’s Man of the Match vs Kairat Almaty?

Over recent weeks, Odegaard has been playing poorly for Arsenal, and it is now time for Arteta to freshen things up in the midfield.

Havertz is an option for the number ten role; however, right now, Eze is the man who should be given the chance to play in that role against Leeds.

The former Crystal Palace star’s minutes have been very limited in the Premier League, but now, Arteta must unleash him at Elland Road.

Mikel Arteta confirms Kai Havertz position decision

After the match, Arteta confirmed that he is also considering using Havertz in the number ten role, which is a warning to Eze and Odegaard.

Arteta told the media: “Yeah, he can play in both. I think right, left, attacking midfielder or nine, it doesn’t change too much for him, depending on the position and the relationship that we have around him and players that are available as well.”

Truth be told, both attacking midfielders have been poor, so to have more competition for their spot should give them the impetus to perform.
