Morgan Rogers could end up at Arsenal in two years after copying what Noni Madueke did at Chelsea

Morgan Rogers joining Chelsea instead of Arsenal has been the biggest transfer news in football so far this summer.

Mikel Arteta’s side chased the England international for a long time, and many fans even felt that the deal was in the bag.

However, Chelsea met Aston Villa’s £117 million demand without any hesitation, and Arsenal then refused to go anywhere near that price tag.

Now, after his move to Stamford Bridge was confirmed, Rogers made a statement that we’ve heard before from a current Arsenal player.

Morgan Rogers has just said the same thing that Noni Madueke did about Chelsea

When you join a club, you must talk very highly of them – that’s just what is expected of players.

Nobody’s ever going to move to a new team and say they are not good enough. Everyone will say the opposite.

However, Chelsea seem to have a habit of making their new signings say the same thing every time.

In the announcement video for Morgan Rogers, the Englishman could be heard calling the Blues ‘the biggest club in London’.

That, of course, is highly debatable, but this isn’t the first time a new Chelsea player has said this.

Back in 2023, when Chelsea signed Noni Madueke, he called them ‘the best club in London’ too.

Just two-and-a-half years later, the winger left them for another London club, Arsenal, who won the Premier League title in his very first season.

Madueke figured out that the Gunners are by far the biggest team in London. Perhaps Rogers will too in a couple of years and make the switch to North London.

Be honest: Would you have been happy if Arsenal spent £117m on Morgan Rogers?

Arsenal are the biggest club in London, not Chelsea

There shouldn’t even be a debate over which club is the biggest in London.

Arsenal and Chelsea have been the most successful in history, but if you had to pick one, it has to be the reigning Premier League champions.

The Gunners have won more trophies in their history than the Blues, have been in the top-flight longer, and have even won more games in head-to-head battles.

Even recently, Arsenal have not lost any of their last 11 games against Chelsea, which shows complete dominance.

The facts are there for everyone to see – Arsenal are the biggest club in London, not Chelsea.
