Arsenal fans have expressed relief after the club confirmed that one of their stars will indeed be fit to face Manchester United.

The Gunners start their Premier League campaign on Sunday, with a trip to Old Trafford on the cards for Mikel Arteta’s men.

As far as opening games go, Manchester United away will always be a tricky proposition, especially since they have brought in three new high-profile forwards.

One Arsenal player in particular was not spotted in the club’s training videos and photos earlier in the week, prompting fans to express concern.

Arsenal have a clean bill of health for the most part, with just Leandro Trossard a potential doubt – and even then, Arteta is positive over his fitness.

“I think he’s much better,” Arteta said. “I think he will be able to train again tomorrow (Saturday) and if that’s the case, he will be fit.”
