Myles Lewis-Skelly is an Arsenal fan, and like millions across the globe, he is excited for the North London Derby.

The teenager grew up as a Gooner and came through the club’s academy. He was brilliant at youth level and made a fantastic name for himself in the first team as well last season.

Lewis-Skelly has fallen down the pecking order at Arsenal this term, but he will still be in the squad for the game against Tottenham on Sunday.

Every Arsenal fan is taught about the history and rivalry with Tottenham while growing up, and Myles Lewis-Skelly was no different.

The England international faced Spurs many times when he was in the academy, and he played once against them for the senior side as well in the 2024/25 campaign.

Lewis-Skelly helped Arsenal win that game, and you could see a big smile on his face after the full-time whistle – he was just like any other fan.

Ahead of the North London Derby on Sunday, many Arsenal players were asked to write what games against Tottenham meant to them using one word.

Bukayo Saka called it ‘special, Eberechi Eze said it’s ‘powerful’, and Leandro Trossard labelled it ‘electric’.

Lewis-Skelly, on the other hand, wrote: ‘Everything!’

That is brilliant to see, as for Arsenal fans who have been supporting the club for years, games against Tottenham really mean everything.

Lewis-Skelly gets it, and that is why he is so loved by the Emirates faithful.

Myles Lewis-Skelly could start for Arsenal against Tottenham

Arsenal have quite a few injury issues going into the game against Tottenham.

Mikel Arteta revealed that Riccardo Calafiori hadn’t trained until Friday, while it has been confirmed that Gabriel Magalhaes will miss the game.

If the Italian is ruled out too, it would mean that Lewis-Skelly will have to start at left-back. Piero Hincapie will get the nod next to William Saliba in central defence.

It remains to be seen how they will fare if they are named in the starting lineup, but one thing is certain – Lewis-Skelly will do absolutely everything he can to win because the North London Derby means everything.
