Arsenal secured a fantastic victory against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
The Gunners were the better side for large parts of the game, scored three great goals and completely deserved the win.
However, despite the victory, a mistake Arsenal made at the academy level was exposed by Bayern’s starting line-up.

Bayern Munich’s three attackers were all once at Arsenal
The Arsenal academy is one of the best in the world.
The Gunners have produced several incredible players from their youth setup, and some of them are stars in the first team today.
However, there have been times when Arsenal have misjudged a player’s quality and released them before they even got close to the first team.
Eberechi Eze is one example, while Bayern Munich star Harry Kane is another. Michael Olise also trained at Arsenal when he was a kid before joining Chelsea.
Imagine if these two superstars played together at Arsenal😍
Bayern’s other starting attacker against Arsenal, Serge Gnabry, did play a few games for the Gunners first team, but he too left the club in search of regular game time.
Bayern agreed a £100 million deal with Tottenham to land Kane, while £50 million was spent on the signing of Olise from Crystal Palace. In his prime, Gnabry was worth an absolute fortune as well.
Stan Kroenke could have received all that money if Arsenal had developed and sold those three players instead of letting them leave.
That mistake was exposed before the ball was even kicked on Wednesday night.

Arsenal have repeated the same mistake in recent years
Arsenal’s academy strategy needs to change.
Hale End has been producing one incredible player after another, and the likes of Bukayo Saka, Ethan Nwaneri, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Max Dowman are shining in the first team.
However, other talented players like Omari Hutchinson, Reuell Walters, Mika Biereth, Ayden Heaven, Chido Obi and Amario Cozier-Duberry were all allowed to leave the club for almost nothing.
All of the above names could become superstars and play for big clubs like Bayern one day. If that happens, it will once again bring up a feeling of regret at the Emirates.
Going forward, a better plan should be in place at the academy. We hope Andrea Berta’s experience will help on that front.
