Arsenal have been linked with a move for Ruben Neves.
As reported by Sport, Mikel Arteta wants Arsenal to sign Al Hilal midfielder Ruben Neves in the upcoming January transfer window.
The Portuguese ace only joined the Saudi Arabian outfit in the recent summer transfer window, moving for a £47 million fee, but it seems that Arteta believes he can be lured back to the Premier League already.
The former Wolves man would be an exciting addition to the roster at the Emirates Stadium, as he has proven that he has what it takes to shine in the English top flight, and at just 26-years-old, he still ought to have his best years ahead of him.
Alongside Declan Rice, Neves could form a formidable midfield unit at the north London club for a long time to come.
However, his arrival at Arsenal would not be welcome news for everyone. Certain players would see their prospects of regular game time take a huge hit should rumours of Neves’ incoming prove true.

Three Arsenal players who would suffer if Ruben Neves is signed
Thomas Partey
Perhaps the most obvious person to lose out if Neves joins is the man that the 45-cap Portugal international has been earmarked to replace. Arsenal now need to move on from Thomas Partey, as his persistent injury issues are a huge problem for Arteta. The Ghanaian may even be sold to help fund Neves’ capture.
Jorginho
Jorginho has proven himself to be a very useful squad option for Arsenal since joining from Chelsea for £12 million in January. The veteran midfielder has enjoyed plenty of game time so far this season too, in light of Partey’s regular unavailability.
However, there are flaws in Jorginho’s game, and Neves would immediately come in above him in the pecking order. The 31-year-old would go back to being strictly a back up and rotational option, which is what he really ought to be in a squad with title-winning aspirations, to be honest.
Mohamed Elneny
Mohamed Elneny is already a bit-part player at Arsenal and would surely fall out of the first team picture almost entirely if Neves were to be added to Arteta’s array of midfield options. The Egyptian is a popular figure at the club, but his time is all but up.
Elneny loves Arsenal, but he may not get the chance to play for them again should Neves come into the club.
