Vermaelen Set For Reserves Comeback

Thomas Vermaelen is only “two or three weeks away” from making his return to football, after picking up a particularly mysterious Achilles injury, which has kept him out since September.
Arsene Wenger has stated that he is considering giving the Belgian centre-back some game time in the reserves, now it seems that (finally), he is nearing the end of his injury woes.
But the Frenchman also insisted that Vermaelen will only play when he’s fit and ready – which is still 2 or 3 weeks away, according to Arsene Wenger.
Unfortunately, he’s still a little way off from first-team action. But nevertheless, slowly but surely, he should be back soon.
Fingers crossed.
