Arsenal’s preparations for their next game may have just changed dramatically.

Indeed, in the early hours of Tuesday morning, Nottingham Forest announced the departure of Nuno Espirito Santo.

The Forest boss was sacked after falling out with Evangelos Marinakis, and now the Reds are looking for a new manager.

Of course, this comes just days before Arsenal face Forest in the Premier League.

The Gunners will be somewhat headed into the unknown here, but, there could be good news on the horizon for one of their players.

Indeed, Viktor Gyokeres may be very excited by the prospect of facing Forest after this update.

Viktor Gyokeres could excel against Nottingham Forest

Viktor Gyokeres has been criticised recently for some of his performances, particularly against Liverpool and Manchester United.

However, Gyokeres may now have the perfect opportunity to get back on track against Forest.

Indeed, Nottingham Forest are set to hire Ange Postecoglou, and that could play right into Gyokeres’ hands.

As many know, Gyokeres is at his best when he’s given space to run in behind a defence, and as we saw at Tottenham, Ange Postecoglou plays an insanely high line.

This is a situation that Gyokeres will surely relish, as he will have tons of space in behind to exploit his incredible pace, strength and finishing ability.

Ange Postecoglou’s record vs Arsenal

Not only will Viktor Gyokeres thrive against Ange Postecoglou, this is a game that should now suit the entire Arsenal team.

Indeed, Mikel Arteta seems to simply have Postecoglou’s number.

The Australian has faced off against Arteta four times in his career, and he’s yet to win a single game.

Arteta knows how to get the better of Postecoglou, and while the dynamics of Saturday’s game have now changed, they may now have changed to favour Arsenal.

The Gunners have every reason to feel confident heading into this match on Saturday.
