Wilshere gets shirty with England stars

Jack Wilshere celebrated his international debut by getting the rest of the England players to sign his shirt. The young Arsenal midfielder started a Three Lions game for the first time last night in the 2-1 win over Denmark in Copenhagen and looked the part despite being asked to play an unfamiliar holding role.
England boss Fabio Capello took our young Gun off at half-time – he had tweaked his knee during a tackle but, apparently, the switch was pre-planned and he wasn’t injured – and no doubt the whiz-kid thought up the shirt-signing spree as he watched the second half in which Aston Vanilla’s Ashley Young snatched the winner. Theo played well, too, but Bendy boy looked laboured up front for the Danes.
It was a decent night of internationals for once for the rip-roaring Reds with no reported injuries from the plethora of players we had on duty around the globe. It means we have a full-ish squad to choose from for the Wolves game at the home of football on Saturday…with the big question mark hanging over Johan Djourou, who damaged a knee – to what extent we are not sure with conflicting reports saying it is mere bruising to others suggesting he’ll be out for a month – in the draw at Newcastle last week.
In other news for fans who can’t get tickets for the FA Cup game at Orient in the away section, the home club are selling around 1,500 on general sale at their game at Brisbane Road on Saturday. Get queueing…although you will miss the Wolves encounter.
