Arsenal got the better of Brighton and Hove Albion at the Emirates last night and something Gabriel Magalhaes did after the game summed up our entire season.
David Luiz was given a farewell in front of Arsenal fans and the whole squad jumped on him to celebrate. That was really nice to see, but poor Gabriel took an accidental elbow to his face, and that caused more damage than it should have.
The former Lille man lost a tooth during celebrations and only realised it after he went back into the dressing room. He came out a few moments later to look for it on the pitch, and it’s safe to say, the supporters found it hilarious.

A few members of the support staff joined the Brazilian to help him find it. After spending a fair few minutes on the pitch, all of them went back into the dressing room, and it seemed like they had given up.
It was feared that Gabriel would have to book a dentist’s appointment before going on a holiday, but the defender took to Instagram late last night to deliver an update on his missing tooth.
Gabriel confirmed that he had indeed found his tooth and Arsenal fans loved it.
The Insider’s View:
That really sums up our season doesn’t it?
Arsenal’s performances were toothless in the Premier League until Boxing Day. After finding our missing tooth against Chelsea at the Emirates, we turned our season around and went on a really impressive run, but the damage had already been done.
The Gunners will not feature in any European competition next season. That is a massive blow for the status of our football club, but it could well prove to be a blessing in disguise, and it’s up to Mikel Arteta, Gabriel and the rest to step up and make the most of it next term.
