Arsenal star Thomas Partey has confirmed on Instagram that he has returned to training after recovering from his ankle injury.

The Ghanaian has had a torrid time at the Emirates since his big-money move last year. He has already missed 21 games for us, and his latest injury has hurt Arsenal the most in the middle of our park.

Partey looked absolutely incredible in pre-season. It really did look like he was playing to prove a point, but the 28-year-old suffered an unfortunate injury just a couple of weeks before the start of the new Premier League season.

Arsenal star Thomas Partey is back from his injury

Arsenal have had a torrid campaign so far. We’ve lost each of our first three league games, scoring none and conceding nine. We couldn’t be in a worse position than we’re already in, but things are looking good now.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette are both back fit. Ben White and Gabriel Magalhaes have returned from their respective problems as well, which instantly improves our side.

The best thing, however, is Partey’s return. The Ghanaian is now back in full training and if there are no hiccups in the coming days, he should be ready to start in the heart of our midfield against Norwich this weekend.

Huge boost for Arsenal

Partey, labelled as ‘brilliant’ by Paul Scholes, offers Arsenal something that nobody else in our squad can. His composure on the ball, ability to get out of tight spaces and the quality he has to find a defence-splitting pass from deep could change our fortunes.

With Granit Xhaka suspended for the next three games, Partey will likely have Albert Sambi Lokonga start alongside him. The Belgian is much more solid defensively than the Arsenal number 34, which should give the Ghanaian more freedom to push forward.

That should help Arsenal massively in our coming games. Mikel Arteta has very little margin for error after losing our first three fixtures, but with Partey and everyone else back in full training now, the Gunners boss will be confident of turning things around.
